WINTER WATERS February 7th, 2026

A One-Day Retreat of Restoration, Ritual & Remembering in Hot Springs, Montana

THE INVITATION

Winter is a season that calls us inward: a gentle descent into the quieter waters of the Self. Beneath the snow, beneath the stillness, beneath the seeming stagnancy, something essential is always happening. Roots deepen. The body recalibrates. Life regathers itself in the dark.

Winter Waters is a full-day retreat created as a soft landing into this inner winter—an experience that honors slowing, spaciousness, and the deeply restorative medicine of seasonal pause. Through ritual, warmth, movement, community, and the earth’s own healing geothermal waters, we remember what winter has been whispering all along: rest is not the opposite of growth; it is the beginning of it.

The Pulse of the Day

9:30am-8:00pm Each offering is chosen with intention—not to fill your day, but to create space within it (and you). This retreat flows like winter itself: slow, intuitive, grounded, and deeply nourishing.

Cacao Ceremony

A gentle, heart-opening ritual that softens the inner landscape and invites presence. Cacao warms the body and brings clarity to the emotional field, making space for deeper connection to yourself, each other, and the season.

RESTORATIVE YIN YOGA

Yin mirrors the essence of winter: slow, receptive, inward. Through long, supported holds and mindful surrender, the body unwinds, connective tissues soften, and the nervous system settles back into its natural rhythm.

Mineral Springs Soak

Soak in healing mineral waters warmed by the earth’s own geothermal fire. These waters remind us that even in the coldest months, warmth rises from within. They hold, soften, and restore; offering a deeply embodied experience of grounding, restoration, and release.

Conscious Connected Breathwork

As winter quiets the world around us, breath wakes the world within. This session supports the release of accumulated tension, expands inner spaciousness, and reconnects you to your life force. It is a homecoming to your own internal warmth and light.

Sound Bath

A vibrational immersion to conclude your breathwork experience that carries you into deeper rest. As sound reverberates through stillness, the body enters a state of natural recalibration. A perfect complement to winter’s quiet, transformative energy.

Nourishing Organic Meals

Warm, nourishing dishes crafted to bring comfort to body and heart. Eating together becomes a ritual of connection, grounding, and honoring the nourishment available in simpler, slower seasons.

Community Connection

In nature, winter encourages animals to draw close... for warmth, for support, for belonging. Honoring our animal nature, we gather in honest presence as human have always done. Connection becomes a hearth, a place for shared reflection, support, and remembering.

Meet yours hosts

Avery Seefeldt

Avery is a Montana native raised in Whitefish who relocated to Hot Springs over two years ago. After studying yoga for 10 years and training in Indonesia, she opened a yoga studio in the heart of town and is deeply grateful to share her passion with the local community.

Since opening her doors, Avery has learned the importance of truly meeting people where they are on the mat. With a background rooted in childcare, spirituality, and functional nutrition, she brings an intuitive, intentional, and practical approach to guiding students through their individual yoga journey.

Outside of the studio, Avery can be found working on her nanny agency, skiing Big Mountain, jogging with her two huskies, reading and cooking with her partner, dancing to live music, and traveling wherever she feels called. She hopes Hot Springs speaks to you as deeply as it spoke to her and looks forward to sharing the magic of this town and its healing waters with you.

Kaci Sage

Kaci is a somatic practitioner based in the Flathead Valley. After a decade in holistic wellness and training in Hakomi Somatic Coaching, Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Conscious Connected Breathwork, and Kriya Kundalini Yoga—she offers a grounded, embodied approach to healing and self-remembering. Her work centers on meeting people exactly where they are, supporting them in building capacity within the nervous system, and guiding them into a deeper relationship with their inner landscape.

Rooted in spirituality, somatic psychology, and nature-based wisdom, Kaci brings an intuitive and intentional presence to every space she holds and circle she leads. Through The Sacred Human Way, she aims to help people reconnect with their humanity and their inherent belonging.

Outside of workshops, Kaci's likely crafting elk-antler jewelry, wandering the forest trails near her home, or studying the quiet teachings of the land. She hopes her work invites you to slow down, listen inward, and remember the wholeness that's lived within you all along.

Hot Springs Accommodations

For your convenience, we've compiled a detailed list of different accommodation options in the Hot Springs area for guests that wish to stay overnight before or after the retreat to avoid inopportune driving or make it a weekend getaway! Please reserve directly with the accommodation as early as you can–rooms may get booked up during the peak winter season. With the exception of the Airbnb & VRBO box, each box is clickable to the listed accommodation's website.

Symes Hot Springs Hotel

Symes will be the location of our soak together as a group for the retreat, very close to main street and the yoga studio. This is a super funky historical hotel that gives you a peek into Hot Spring’s past of elegant and elaborate grand Victorian resorts post-Civil War. It surely isn’t elegant anymore, but it is very unique! They have lots of different room options ranging from $85-$200/night that include soaking in the pools. There is a restaurant on site, although we cannot speak to the quality.

Alameda’s Hot Springs & Hotel

Alameda’s is a rustic 1930’s spa hotel located a few blocks from main street and the yoga studio. There are multiple room types available, some with private mineral water soaking tubs in the rooms and some with full kitchens or kitchenettes. The outdoor soaking tubs are not available in the winter months, but you will have access to a lovely sauna. Rates range from $89-$145/night. This may be the location for our next retreat!

Sophia Springs

Sophia Springs is a wonderful accommodation with suites that feature a more modern look, full kitchens, and lovely deep bathtubs that unfortunately do not have mineral water but you will also have access to a shared outdoor mineral plunge. Sophia Springs is located a few blocks away from main street and the yoga studio and the suites are $159/night for up to 4 people ($35 per extra person beyond 2).

Oasis Project

Oasis Project is a nice accommodation a bit out of town up on a hill with beautiful views of the Mission Mountains that are blocked by the hills down low. There are 4 options; the main house is split into 2 different units or can be rented in its entirety for a larger group (please see website for pricing), plus a small separate cabin for 1-2 people that's a bit cheaper but you have to walk to the bathroom in the main house. A bit of a funky layout, but peaceful, modern, and has gorgeous views.

Hot Springs Campground

This campground is located out of town on highway 28 and features a yurt and a couple cabins with heat and access to the bathhouse for shared amenities. Around $99/night. As of now, the owners will throw in a couple hot springs soaks with your reservation (but don’t quote me on that haha).

Vrbo and Airbnb

There are quite a few vrbo/airbnb’s (check both sites) in Hot Springs at various price points. These tend to book out early, so check them out sooner than later if you wish to go this route!
