Educational Demonstration – Beginner Friendly

Reconnect with the old ways

Step into a space where traditional skills are honored and animal harvest is approached with care, respect, and intention. In this live, outdoor demonstration, you’ll learn how to ethically dispatch, skin, gut, and break down an Icelandic sheep from start to finish.

Whether you’re preparing for hunting season, curious about whole-animal processing, or seeking a deeper relationship with your food, this class will guide you through every step — blending ancient self-sufficiency practices with modern technique. We approach the harvest as both a skill and a sacred act, honoring the life taken and the nourishment given.

What You’ll Learn

  • Ethical harvesting and humane dispatch methods

  • How to skin, gut, and break down a whole sheep

  • Tool tips and safe handling practices

  • Step-by-step guidance with time for Q&A

Why Take This Class

  • Build confidence in traditional skills

  • Connect to your food in a meaningful way

  • Witness the entire process from start to finish

  • Prepare yourself for future hunting or homesteading

  • Meet an uncomfortable edge and build resilience if animal harvesting is uncomfortable for you
  • Spend time connecting with like-minded community and reclaiming your village.

After the Workshop
